BACKGROUND & PROCESS
- Performed assessment of company’s investment thesis and how it would improve/change over coming 18-24 months
- Evaluated existing shareholder base
- Extensive institutional investor identification process, yielding 700+ targets in U.S. and Europe
- Implemented 12-month consistent outreach and engagement plan
- Managed outreach efforts and responses, coordinated calls and meetings
RESULTS
- Over 12-month period generated 8-12 touchpoints with over 580 targets (approximately 120 fell off due to lack of interest, timing, or personnel changes)
- 220 calls or meetings with targeted investors
- 76 of targeted funds initiated positions
- Top 30 ownership concentration declined from ~80% to ~50%
- European institutional ownership increased from ~5% to ~22%
